36 Weeks ---> Wow! 9 Months!!

We really can't believe that we are at the 9 month mark! Holy cow, time has just flown by!! We are starting to really realize that, yes, we are going to have a baby soon! lol I guess we really need to get some things done! Hahaha!

The last couple of weeks I have definitely noticed some changes. Last week (35 weeks) was the first time that I really started to get uncomfortable. I have had "moments" of being uncomfortable since about 30 weeks, but if I moved, changed positions, or just stopped doing what I was doing, they would go away. Not so much anymore! The first night it happened, I could not get comfortable. Nate helped me with one of the relaxation positions we learned in our Bradley class, and I stayed in it for about an hour, and it really helped!

The baby has been moving around like crazy. It truly feels like the baby is kicking off of my ribs, and trying to get out! The baby is pretty much up all the time, so I hope that isn't a precursor of what's ahead! I'm not really able to sleep much either. Every couple of hours I am up to either go to the bathroom, or my hip is asleep, or I am having contractions. I am so tired in the afternoon when I get home from work, so I usually get a good nap in, and then get up and try to be productive! :)

Last week at the doctor, the baby's heart rate was in the 140's and this week it was 147. At this weeks appt, she did my GBS test, so I will find out next week what it is. Let's keep our fingers crossed it's negative!

I've still been having quite a few contractions lately, so Sherry (our midwife) just said to take it easy this week, and we are going to get an ultrasound at our appt. next week, to check and see if I am dilated at all. We cut our evening walks down quite a bit, and I have been taking it easy. I guess we will just wait and see!

Oh yeah... we also met with 2 more pediatricians last week. We liked one of them real well, the other not as much. But we have decided to go ahead and go with Dr. Vyas (the first pediatrician we met with).

  1. I cannot believe within 2-3 weeks the little one we've all been waiting for will be here, actually here! No longer just wondering boy, girl, big, little, a lot of hair, or bald, dark hair or light. Size, weight, etc. etc. And when it's all said and done I just want a safe, quick birth with a heathly baby and heathly mommy and a daddy not passed out on the floor! If how you've handled this pregnancy is any indication, I know you'll be good parents and this will be one very lucky child. I am blessed to be a part of your family and I await this grandchild with all the love in my heart. Thank you both for being who you are and for giving me another opportunity to be "Grandma" one more time! I love you more than you can imagine. "Mom"
