Christmas this year was wonderful! We bought 2 pairs of booties, one pink and one blue. We wrapped one of each, in a little box, and gave one set to my mom, and one to Nate's mom.
We had my family's Christmas at my sister's house this year, and celebrated it on Christmas Eve. After the boys opened their presents, we gave the gift to mom to open. She opened the gift, and immediately thought we were having twins! It was hilarious! She then cried tears of joy, and hugged everyone in the room. It was really sweet.
We then had to re-wrap the booties, so my dad could open them once he got there. (I was very impressed with my nephews for not spilling the beans, before it came time for presents!) My dad opened them, and held them up, and said, "great, toe warmers!" It was too cute!
Sunday, after Christmas, Terry and Joyce came down to our house. We spent the afternoon chatting, and relaxing, and then opened presents. We saved the booties for last, and Joyce opened them. The look of surprise and joy on both of their faces was priceless. Terry looked like he didn't believe it, and needed confirmation. Joyce new what they meant right away, and then the tears came. It was a very special day, and special weekend.
