This week the baby weighs almost 2 lbs, and is 14 1/2 inches long, from head to heel. (No wonder I feel her in my ribs!) She is now sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and maybe even sucking on her fingers! Hiccups are really common from this point on, and I'm pretty sure that she has had them a few times already!
We had our 26 week appt. with our midwife last week. We have decided to move to the new practice with our midwife, so this was our last visit at that office. The baby's heartrate was 146-152 and she kept kicking the doppler! It was hilarious! I have to start counting baby kicks this week, and we went over all the signs and symptoms of preterm labor (which hopefully won't happen!) I have a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions already, so she said just to monitor them for any changes, and stay hydrated.
We have been pretty busy the last couple weeks, trying to get things done around here. We finished painting the baby's room this weekend. We chose the 4 main colors from the "Peek-a-Boo" theme we picked out from Buy Buy Baby. We weren't really sure what to expect, but we LOVE how it turned out! We got all of the furniture moved into the room - just need to put the crib together. Slowly but surely, we will get there!

Just love the painted dots on nursery walls. How Cool. You two look soooooooooooo happy.Love ya
