18 Weeks

18 Weeks
5 1/2" - the size of a Green Pepper

The last few weeks have been busy. We are still trying to adjust to the new work schedule... I had no idea it was going to be so difficult to get used to!

I started prenatal yoga 2 weeks ago - and am enjoying it very much! Now that the weather has been nice, we have been able to take longs walks around the neighborhood in the afternoons.

We started our prenatal birthing classes 2 weeks ago. We have chosen to use the Bradley Method for natural childbirth. It is a husband-coached, natural birthing class that lasts 8 weeks. In the class there are 8 couples, and we meet once a week for two hours, at the instructors house. It's been really interesting so far, and we have learned quite a bit. There is a list of exercises and relaxation techniques that we have to practice daily, to get us ready for the big day! And I have had to log everything I eat to make sure I am getting the right nutrition for the baby!

We had our 18 week appointment with our midwife today. The baby's heart rate was in the 140's again, and he/she was moving around like crazy!

I am finally starting to get my little baby bump! I have had to "adjust" my clothes this week, so I dont think it will be too long before I am in full-fledge maternity clothes! I've started to feel the baby move inside me, but can't quite feel it outside yet. Nate is really anxious to feel it, I hope it's not too long now!

We have our ultrasound in 2 weeks... and will post an update then!
